Programs

Á Space develops three long-term programs centered on artistic practice, research, and dialogue. Each program functions as a platform for experimentation, bringing together artists, researchers, and the public.

solo marathon

RESIDENCY PROGRAM

In the current local context wherein exists the scarcity of either infrastructure or opportunities for artists, Solo Marathon is Á Space’s long-term commitment to creating more space for “young” artists to freely experiment in a studio setting and learn through displaying their works in an open-minded and critical manner.

Ô Cách CINÉ

MOVING-IMAGE PLATFORM

Ô Cách Ciné was initiated at Á Space in 2023 as a temporary 9-seat cinema built within an exhibition space. Since then, the project has been expanded, dismantled, and reappeared in different forms. Across its various iterations, Ô Cách Ciné has become a site where artists, curators, filmmakers, collaborators, and audiences gather around film, video, and moving images.

conference on curating

CONFERENCE

Conference on Curating is a recurring symposium series initiated by Á Space, dedicated to exploring the theoretical and practical dimensions of curatorial practice in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Through thematic discussions featuring curators, artists, researchers, and other arts practitioners, the program provides a platform for dialogue, critical reflection, and professional exchange. It aims to support the sustainable development of curatorial practice while contributing to a richer and more interconnected contemporary art ecosystem in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
